Understanding Contractor Purchasing System Reviews

As stated at FAR 44.301, the objective of the contractor purchasing system review (CPSR) is to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness with which the contractor spends government funds and complies with government policy when subcontracting.

If you are a prime contractor or subcontractor who purchases services or materials, you may be subject to a CPSR if your anticipated sales during the next 12 months (excluding competitively awarded firm-fixed-price, competitively awarded firm-fixed-price with economic adjustment, or sales of commercial items) are expected to exceed $25 million.
